Quickie Supergirl by micQuestion Quickie Supergirl by micQuestion
Here's how I'd draw Supergirl. I fixed her shield maxi pad by turning it into actual trunks. Also gave her leggings to cover up her shame that is her exposed knees. ;) I finally accept the haircut.

Hope y'all don't mind the tweaks!

Peace.

Not bad, but if your gonna do the leggings like that you might as well just cover up everything and make it similar to the classis Superman suit :)

Thanks, Joseph! :) I considered that early on, but opted not to because I would've had to remove the trunks completely (not a fan of undies over pants) and redesigned her from the waist down and knees up. I didn't wanna deviate that far from her current established look and decided to just add to it.

Peace.

I do like a few elements of the New52 costume, such as the cape, the seams and the new hairdo, but the ones you don't like are also the ones I don't like, especially the red pad. So I really like the trunks! Only tweak I don't like is the attachment of the cape to the shield, I've never been fond of that. But this is a cool re-design :) I also love the commanding pose you've put her in!

Thanks so much, friend! In hindsight, I should've went without those cape attachments. I liked them from Jim Lee's preliminary design because I hadn't seen them used by other artists, but now I see why and think they're unnecessary. I would exclude them if I drew her again. Good call. We are in full agreement. :)

Peace.
